Three truths about self-righteousness that should cause us to flee all self-righteousness for the gospel:

Self-righteous people are just as guilty before God as the sinners just described
God’s kindness is intended to produce repentance, not greater self-righteousness
Presuming upon God’s kindness in self-righteousness results only in greater wrath on judgment day
